Safety Gear

In this section you will find throwbags, floating and non-floating river rescue rope, river knives, carabiners and pulleys suitable for swiftwater rescue, and a new snag plate from Wildwater Designs. Many items you will find in this section are not returnable, for various reasons. No responsible retailer should ever take returns on items like pulleys or carabiners, and few do. If these items have been dropped hard, and we have no way of knowing whether they might have been, they can suffer hairline fractures that lead to failure. We have never in 29 years been asked to take a return on either a pulley or biner so this seems to be a non-issue. We can also not take returns on any used items, or on cut lengths of rope. Please read our descriptions fully and call us with any questions. Despite the presence of our shopping cart system, we still prefer to chat with customers on the phone and also prefer to take orders that way. Phoning minimizes errors and ensures we sell you the correct item the first time.
