Big Water Type V universal adult size lifevest. We are out of the red/blue two-tones, and are now carrying lime and orange, with black trim. The 25 pound floatation on this vest is about the same as the MTI Canyon model, but this one has adjustable shoulders, which the Canyon lacks.
Note that there is a youth size available in this jacket, as well as a XX-Large. We don't stock those but we can order them if you wish. Give us a call for lead times.
The regular adult Big Water can theoretically go from 30" up to a 55" or 56" chest size but if you are above 54", we would suggest getting the new XX-large Big Water mentioned above.
Reviews on this vest are a bit mixed. Some outfitters seem to love them; others like one of our local friends who are still in the raft rental biz are a bit underwhelmed with how well it snugs down, as are we. It does pull up more easily than the MTI Canyon model (which as of this update we still have in the large/xl size, but the Canyon has been discontinued), even with some serious cinching of the lowest strap, but the previously mentioned adjustable shoulders allow you to lower or raise the point at which that lower strap is located on your belly, mitigating the ride-up issue somewhat. The materials throughout are very good though, including the comfy soft foam, and there are not many contenders for those with chests above 51" in a standard universal adult pfd.
