The smallest of our three K-pumps is the K-100 single stage top-off model at roughly 23” long by 3” in diameter. It has a very comfortable mushroom shaped plunger grip and comes with a splashproof bag that is easy to secure into a raft or inflatable kayak via the stitched handle. There is almost no resistance when you are pumping with the single stage K-Pumps, and lubricating them with white lithium or silicon grease bi-yearly will keep them operating at their peak.
Part of the reason these have so little friction is that there is no check valve for back-flow, the logic being almost all modern inflatables already have one-way valves for air inflation. Putting another one in the pump body is usually redundant.
Each K-Pump comes with some alternative tip fittings. The rubber conical main tip will mate up to almost any professional grade valves, but it is not intended for some of the pool toy type valves that are found on certain vinyl inflatables. Since we are often asked, NO, you do not need to use any twist-in adapters with the K-Pump. The K-Pump main tips will seal firmly against any Halkey, Leafield, Summit, Bravo, or other poppet button style inflation valve.
