Sawyer's plastic oar blades are about the same price as Carlisle, though Sawyer doesn't make a full eight inch wide version. The Sawyer Duramax has proven to be much tougher however, with it's aluminum core and glass filled blades made from a hard version of polyprophylene. They are heavy but extremely strong. The Duramax blade is just under 7" at the tip, and they taper down to 6-1/4" where they connect to the shaft.
Sawyer Duramax blades come in black only. We try to stock Sawyer's composite Dynelite blades as well, for those who want to keep their oar weight to a minimum, but they have been tricky to get without long wait times the last two seasons. Those are listed separately.
