Overview
The AIRE Bubbabomb Giant River Tube - 300 Pound Capacity
Note that we also have good stock on the Rocky Mountain brand RDT-48" tubes, which are more ergonomic (the inflatable cross section is 3" larger on one side than the other, seating you in a more natural & comfortable angle), though in this case the Rocky product is 4" smaller around than the Bubbabomb. Still, the weight capacity on the RTD-48 is quite high.
The newer AIRE Bubbabomb is the largest and highest flotation river tube on the market. At 52" it is four inches bigger across than a Rocky Mountain RTR-48 or NRS Big River tube, and the cross section of the inflatable part is 14" all the way around. It will hold upwards of 300 pounds and has two heavy duty grab handles. Red color only!
As with its smaller brother the Rocktabomb, the Bubba is constructed like one of AIRE's Tributary kayaks with 1000 denier pvc using a bladder for air retention. A full-perimeter zipper allows you to access this bladder should you ever need to get at it, and the inflation valve is a Summit II like what the Trib Tomcat, Spud, or Strike kayaks use. A Summit twist-in valve adapter and small patch kit comes with the tube.
The Bubbabomb has a one-year warranty, and comes in red. AIRE gives the weight as under 11 pounds, but we think that may be a bit low. We will check it when we get the shipment in 2022. The weight shown above is ship weight due to the box size required for this beast.
Because of the very large outer diameter, regardless of individual weight, only tall folks with long arms will really be able to reach the water with their arms and hands. It is not for small people. Average and smaller floaters should stick with the 44" Roctabomb or the Rocky Mountain RTD-44 tube.

The floor is made of very strong mesh material, which makes the drain hole in the middle seem superfluous. However, one great thing about this drain hole is that it lets you utilize a bicycle cable lock to secure your tube to a tree or handy fence post, should you want to step away from the river. This tube comes with a valve adaptor and very basic patch kit.
