Brand New - the RMR Flow FLWDS-132 Drop-Stitch Raft floor for anglers.
Rocky Mountain has two different thirteen foot rafts available in their new Flow series. Both are 13'2" X 6'4" with 20" main tubes. The other Flow shown in this section of our website is more intended for whitewater, and has a conventional I-beam floor and three removable thwarts, however this Drop-Stitch FLWDS model was designed for fishing and people who won't row with big loads.
The Flow FLWDS will not bail as fast as most of the other rafts from RMR and therefore should not be viewed as a good option for advanced whitewater. The drop-stitch floor, being only 6" thick top to bottom, will also get water over the top if this raft is overloaded. A good safe weight range including a frame, would be around 950 pounds.
This drop-stitch Flow was intended almost solely to be used with a frame, and it has no thwarts or even mounts for them, so it's not ideal as a paddle boat unless you add a lot of foot cones. The I-Beam floor version, which costs just a little bit more, would be a far better option for paddlers, or rowers wanting to carry heavier payloads since the I-beam floor is thicker than the drop stitch floor pad.
The color options are three light shades - one a grayish-beige ("Metal"), one a very pale blue called "Neptune", and the third color is "Moss", a light green-gray. There are ten D-rings around the main hull, plus a towing D down low on the bow, and two interior D's at the bow and stern. The drop-stitch floor "pad" is not removable, and the Flow series warranty is three years rather than six like most of the other RMR boats. The price is incredibly low for a high quality full-size raft, so we feel the 3-year coverage is more than fair.
